I haven't taken many pictures of the tigers at the San Diego Zoo this year, but here are a few of Connor from early January.

Italian Tuna Fishing Heritage in San Diego
While wandering around the Little Italy neighborhood in San Diego on Sunday we found this series of paintings on the wall of a construction site on Kettner Blvd. Italians and Portuguese have a long history of commercial fishing in San Diego.
This memorial statue is new as well. It's also on Kettner Blvd.
Little Italy San Diego - Sunday Afternoon Walk
Heather and I spent a few hours strolling around Little Italy in San Diego on Sunday. It was a beautiful day to be outside walking.
Our first stop was the Mona Lisa Italian Market, and we ended up buying so much stuff that we had to backtrack to the car to leave it there before we could continue our walk.
One of my favorite cookies - Lazzaroni amaretto cookies.
Eventually we continued on with our walk. As a side note, I mentioned that we bought a bunch of stuff, but we did not get any of the items pictured above.
New buildings are going up all over the place.
Older buildings are being renovated and converted to new uses.
As of last week Date Street between India and Columbia has been re-opened, and is now a pedestrian-only piazza. There is still some construction being finished up on the new apartments on the north side of the street.
There was all sorts of new things to see . . . we even found Bigfoot.
