We stopped to see the National Bison Range on our drive from Glacier National Park back to Missoula, Montana last week. The Range was founded in 1908 with 40 American Bison. The herd now numbers between 350-500.
There is a 20-mile or so graded dirt road that winds through the Range. The views are great.
We were there late in the day, and there were some dark clouds rolling in.

Excellent collection of images, Frank. I love the metal cut out with the landscape behind. The next image of that crazy road! What is up with that?!? The third shot of the bison has really great lines. The last shot in this group with the sun in the foreground and the landscape fading into dark is really nice too.
