We recently spent three nights at the Lake McDonald Lodge on the west side of Glacier National Park in Montana.
The current lodge at Lake McDonald was built in 1914. When it was first built the only way to get there was by boat.
What is now considered the back of the hotel was then the front entrance, facing the lake.
These days most people arrive at the other side of the Lodge by car.
The lobby of the Lodge is quite impressive.
Xanterra does a nice job of running the Lake McDonald Lodge. We've also stayed at the National Park lodges that they operate in Zion National Park and Grand Canyon National Park. Just in case you were wondering how many mountain goats there are . . .
What a fabulous place to visit, and looks like a wonderful lodge to stay in too. The quiz card cracks me up! Great sense of humor.
