Big Cat, Little Cat, Big Duck, Little Ducks - San Diego Zoo

I spent pretty much the whole morning, and a good part of the afternoon, at the Malayan Tiger enclosure at the San Diego Zoo today. I got there right at 9:00am, and headed straight for the tiger. Danai, the older female was out in the morning, but I didn't get any shots I really liked. Connor, the young male, came out around 2:00pm. Some days I get a lot of pictures, other days, not so much. This was looking to be one of those "other" days, right up until I was on my way out around 3:45pm. I was with some friends most of the morning, and after we all left the tiger and headed over to check out the mandrill, I decided to walk back there one last time, even though he was in the opposite direction from the exit, just in case. It was a good decision.

Here's a shot of the new Fishing Cat, taken this morning on my way to the tigers.

I only got one shot of the Mandrill, and he was a long way away. I've got lots of closer shots of the Mandrill in previous blog posts, but I've not seen this big guy in quite a while.

This is baby duck season, by the way.
