It's been a while since I've been able to get some good pictures of Connor, as he has mostly been in the small enclosure that is only visible through a thick glass window, with lots of glare and reflections. A couple of weeks ago Connor spent a morning in the large enclosure, with nothing but air between me and him. November morning light is generally pretty nice, and I spent about 4 hours just watching and photographing him - when he wasn't napping.

Point Loma Lighthouse & Cabrillo National Monument - San Diego, California
There was a storm approaching San Diego on Sunday afternoon, which made for some very dramatic skies at the Point Loma Lighthouse, which is part of the Cabrillo National Monument.
Here's the view looking out across the Pacific Ocean.
We always used to joke (or maybe it was serious) about the stories of "Russian spies" hanging out at the National Monument Visitor Center, since it affords such a great view of both North Island Naval Air Station and the Submarine Base. After all these years I finally noticed the brand name on the telescopes. "Hi Spy Viewing Machines" just seems so appropriate.
