Malayan Tigers Cinta and Berani - San Diego Zoo
Malayan Tiger brothers Cinta and Berani having a brotherly discussion the other day, at the San Diego Zoo. From what I could see, Cinta would have preferred to continue with his nap, while Berani wanted to play. Or something like that; who really knows.

We did a little road trip through Utah and Nevada in May of this year, including a drive through Cedar Breaks National Monument.

A Little Different Kind of Zoo Animal
Last June we spent a few hours at the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. It was cloudy that morning, so I took advantage of the fairly flat light to get some photos of these otherwise hard to capture zoo animals . . . sort of.
There were Lions . . .
There were Tigers . . .
And even Bears.
The Fishing Cat was pretty cool . . .
. . . And so was the Cheetah.
They even had a Red Panda . . .
. . . and a Giant Panda.

The J. Paul Getty Museum - Los Angeles, California
Here are a few images from the J. Paul Getty Museum taken earlier this year. For me, the architecture and grounds are as impressive as the collections.

The Book of Beasts - Getty Museum, Los Angeles
We drove up to the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles earlier this year to check out an exhibition of illuminated manuscripts called The Book of Beasts.
We were there for the closing weekend of the exhibit, but there are always lots of great things to see at the Getty.
