Road Trip - Lone Pine, California - Part 4

Well, it turns out the waterfall was not quite all that spectacular, but it was nice to see.  More like a cascade down the side of the mountain, not really falling over the edge of a cliff.

When we were here the day before you could not even tell where the road was.

Whitney Portal Road passes by the Alabama Hills on the way back to Lone Pine, so we stopped again to wander around in the late afternoon light.

We finished our last day in Lone Pine with a great Chinese meal at the Merry Go Round Restaurant, then went for walk around the town, getting back to the motel in time to watch a great sunset.

We drove home on Thursday, with a stop in Death Valley.

Continued in Part 5.
