These pictures are from several different days during the month of April. One afternoon Connor decided to go for a swim (actually, he was trying to retrieve a toy that had floated out to the deep end of his pool). He usually just wades into the water, but once in a while he dives in.
The latest issue of ZooNooz, the San Diego Zoo's monthly magazine for members, has a big article on the new tiger exhibit at the Zoo's Safari Park. In it is a quote of a German proverb that really seems to apply to Connor. No matter how relaxed he looks at times, he still pays attention to what is going on around him.
"There is no off switch on a tiger."

ReplyDeleteI really like the picture you captured of Connor getting ready to dive into the water - you managed to capture his rear claws digging into the wood. You can just see and feel the movement.
