Missoula, Montana and Salmon, Idaho - A Short Trip

We made a very quick trip up to Missoula, Montana and Salmon, Idaho last weekend. Here are a few pictures. It's really nice up there this time of year - we would like to have stayed longer than just 2 nights.

Here's the view from our hotel room early on Sunday morning in Missoula, looking out onto the Clark Fork River.

The Salmon River, just north of the town of Salmon, Idaho.

These faces are carved into a tree that is sitting along the driveway into the town cemetery. We first saw them in 2007, and they are a bit more worn now, but still very much there.

We stopped for a snack at a little placed called The Brewery in the center of Salmon. It's pretty good, and the ceiling in the old building makes for an interesting photo while waiting for the food.

Click here for a few more images from our rather quick trip up to Missoula and Salmon.
