Fly Navy

The Navy has put up a new sign on one of the buildings at Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado, California. The 14-foot high sign faces directly across San Diego Bay towards Harbor Island, which is where I shot this from. The sign is lit from about sunset to 11:00PM.

While we're on the subject of naval aviation, here's a shot of the aircraft carrier USS Midway, now a museum on the San Diego waterfront.

Speaking of flying - Heather spotted this guy sitting on a pipe along the edge of Harbor Island while I was setting up. He's a bit blurry from the very long exposure, and he took off right after I got this shot.
